Post Treatments For Die Castings

We have employed a huge production unit for post treatment die casting that make utmost concern over customer satisfaction. Aluminum and zinc die casting products can have a variety of post treatments. Such post treatments can be divided into surface treatment, heat treatment, healing and modification treatment, and assembly and packaging services. Those post treatments have their respective characteristic; some of them have serious environment impact, which should be operated in professional factories, and others have dirty working surroundings and are labor intensive jobs. Furthermore such post treatment can be even more costly than raw die casting products. No matter how, such post treatments can improve the surface looking and reinforece some casting properties.


Black hard anodizing for aluminum die casting


The only type of anodizing available for aluminum die casting parts is black hard anodizing. Because of the high silicon content in order to increase the fluidity of molten alloy, aluminum die casting parts aren't able to be color anodized. The black surface of die casting part may not be a good surface decoration, but it can considerable improve corrosion resistance of casting surface. Black hard anodizing is much suitabe for casting for outdoor application.


Powder coating for die casting parts


Powder coating is very common for surface treatment of die casting products. It is not only a surface decorative means but only a wonderful means for improving surface corrosion resistance. There have been two powder coating factories with automatic coating lines cooperating with us. Besides, some world well known powder manufacturers like Akzo have set up branch factory in Ningbo area, we can get their profeesional technique support for them readily.


Painting, lacquering and stoving varnish for die casting


Painting is general description for serial post treatments, including wet painting, lacquering, stoving varnish etc. Wet painting or lacquering is commonly used for purpose of general surface decoration and protection. While stoving varnish is a much more expensive treatment mainly for decroative die cast products. Especially zinc die cast decorative products always require stoving varnish to improve and protect their surface finishing.


Mirror polishing and brushing for die cast products


Polishing is different from buffing, which can also be used for docoration purpose. Common polishing is a necessary step before other surface treament like powder coating, electroplating or stoving varnish. Further mirror polishing is widely used for deccrative purpose for zinc die cast products.


Brushing is always used for electroplated die cast products to achieve slight and fine lines on the surface. However in order to obtian coarse lines, we can brush the die cast work piece before plating or other coating treaments.


E-coating,electrophoresis for aluminum die cast products

Electrophoresis can also refer to e-coating, electrodeposit coating. It is commonly used for die cast auto part for surface corrosion resistance purpose. Besides lots of aluminum die cast machinery parts can be processed by e-coating. It is economical and practical surface treatment for high pressure die casting products.


Electroplating for die casting products

Electroplating is a main surface treament for aluminum and zinc die cast products. There are three areas where all of Ningbo's electroplating factories are gathered, as the purpose of controlling their environment impact. On the other hand, it is much convenient for us to get professional and competitive service.

Nickel plating for die cast products: Nickel plating is common for aluminum and zinc die casting products. And there are several kinds of nickel plating available for die casting products such as black nickel plating, pearl nickel plating, mat nickel plating, bright nickel plating, brushing nickel plating and so on.

Chrome plating for die cast products: Chrome plating can achieve very bright surface for die casting parts. And chrome plating only has two plain types such as bright chrome plating and black chrome plating.

Copper plating for die cast products: Copper plating is only used for decoration purpose. The most popular type of copper palting is ancient copper plating.

Impregnation for aluminum die casting parts


Impregnation is commonly applied in die casting foundries which are dedicated in die cast automotive cylinders. Impregnation can heal the slight pores in the inner body of die casting parts. Imprgation is preferable for the die cast parts with pressure testing requirement.


Sand blasting, ultra sonic cleaning for die casting parts


Hanging sand blasting and barrelling sand blasting are available for die casting parts here. Besides we have ultra sonic cleaning machine to process die cast parts with special requirement such as mirror polished parts, stoving varnish parts.


Laser engraving and silk screen printing for die casting products
Laser engraving and silk screen printing are used for some die cast housing and covers. While we accept some assembly projects, we will do laser engraving and silk screen printing for finished die cast products.


Passivation and phosphating for die casting parts

Passivation and phosphating can be used as fore treatment for powder coating or painting. They can clean away oil and grease on casting surface and form a protective film. Besides they can be used as an independent process for surface protection purpose.


Assembly and Packaging for die cast products


We are willing to accept assembly projects. We have much experience in electronic and pneumatic products assembly projects. Even more, we can do retail packaging for die cast finish products for foreign customers to save time and money.
